International Students' Innovation Competition

Feishu is proud to support the International Students Innovation Competition 2026 – Canada Regional Competition as an official co-organizer.
More than a competition, this is a global platform where students, researchers, entrepreneurs, and innovators can showcase breakthrough ideas, connect with international opportunities, and transform innovation into real-world impact.
With more than 40,000 international projects and over 130,000 student participants from more than 150 countries and regions across previous editions, the competition has become one of the world's leading platforms for university innovation and entrepreneurship.
The competition brings together young innovators from diverse backgrounds to exchange ideas, tackle global challenges, and build meaningful connections across innovation ecosystems. Whether you are developing a new technology, launching a startup, or creating solutions for social and environmental challenges, this is your opportunity to present your ideas on an international stage.
Competition Tracks
Participants may apply under one of four focus areas:
Medical Technology & Universal Health
Innovative healthcare technologies, medical devices, digital health solutions, and initiatives that improve accessibility and quality of care.
Green Technology & Sustainable Development
Projects focused on environmental sustainability, climate solutions, clean energy, resource efficiency, and green innovation.
Culture, Tourism & Creative Design
Creative industries, digital media, cultural innovation, tourism experiences, and design-driven solutions.
Data Development & Governance Innovation
Data technologies, AI applications, digital governance, cybersecurity, privacy, and data-driven innovation.
Who Can Participate?
The competition is open to student teams from higher education institutions across Canada, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Japan, Spain, Portugal, Singapore, Switzerland, Germany, Italy, and USA.
Eligibility requirements include:
- Teams of 2–15 members
- Current college/university students or graduates within the past five years
- Teams may include members from multiple institutions
- One designated team leader must submit the application
- Participants should generally be under 35 years of age
Projects at both the idea stage and startup stage are welcome.

Presentations may be conducted in either English or Chinese.
How It Works
Register
Create a team account and complete the registration process.
Submit
Upload your project materials and complete all required information.
Evaluation
Projects are reviewed by a panel of academic experts, industry leaders, innovation specialists, and investment professionals.
Finals
Selected finalists will advance to the final competition stage.
Awards & Opportunities
Winning teams will receive certificates and cash awards in recognition of their achievements.
Prizes (before tax):
- First Prize: USD 3,000
- Second Prize: USD 2,000
- Third Prize: USD 1,000
In addition, participants may gain access to:
- International innovation and entrepreneurship exchange opportunities
- Industry networking events
- Exposure to investors, experts, and innovation leaders
- Cross-border collaboration opportunities
- Innovation ecosystem visits and company tours
Finalists will also have the opportunity to participate in a sponsored visit to China, where they can engage with innovation ecosystems, industry partners, entrepreneurs, and academic institutions while presenting their projects on a broader international stage.
Top-performing projects will have the opportunity to advance to the international evaluation stage of the competition.

Projects are evaluated on a combination of innovation, impact, execution, and growth potential.
Key evaluation areas include:

- Commercial and social impact
- Feasibility and implementation potential
- Team capabilities and collaboration
- Scalability and long-term growth potential
The judging process emphasizes fairness, transparency, and real-world impact while recognizing projects that demonstrate strong innovation and entrepreneurial potential.
